Reviving the Golden Era: 2000s

St Patrick’s School in the 2000s was filled with activities and events.  School life did not only revolve around lessons.   Students then, as now, felt a strong bond with the school and were ever so willing to stay on after curriculum hours to work on projects and school activities.  While results were important, the camaraderie amongst the students was what the school was known for, and this was mostly achieved by the commitment the students put in in non-academic areas.

In 2002, the school band organized the ‘Musical Heritage Concert’ at the newly renovated Singapore Conference Hall.  It had a massive turn out, with proud parents watching their children perform intricate pieces.

The camaraderie amongst the staff got the teachers energnized and looking forward to school, even on the weekends! Stalwarts like Mr Coleman Baptist, Mr Edmund Rodrigues, Mr Ashley Hogan, Ms Charlotte Collars and younger staff, like Ms Shakthi Sivasubramaniam, Mr Tan Chiew Seng, Mr Mahadir, and Ms Teo Bee Hoon kept the staffroom abuzz with fun and laughter.  The staff were ever so willing to reach out and help if they saw anyone in need.  It was never just about work and all about the heart – looking after your friends and ultimately reaching and making connections.
