Continuing the Patrician Spirit: 1970s
In the 1970s, besides Brothers Joseph Kiely and Dennis Watt, St Patrick’s was blessed to have Bro. Joseph McNally as principal. He was a man of vision and action, leaving an indelible imprint on the school. He initiated the system of student government in the school. The student hostel and the Runme Shaw Gymnasium were some of his contributions to the physical development of the school. The arts continued to dominate the cultural life of the school.
To mark the school's 40th anniversary, Bro. Dennis secured the newly built National Stadium for the annual sports meet, the first organisation to use the stadium. |
